Lalit is the principal dentist and owner of The Leys Road Dental Practice.
He co-holds the NHS dental contract with Rahul Khiroya.
Lalit has been present at the practice for 40 years and provides routine general dentistry to the local community. He has an extremely loyal following of patients.
He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but in particularly enjoys crown, bridge and denture work aswell as oral surgery.
The pinacle of his work within the British Dental Association (BDA) was recognised when he was elected president of the Middlesex and Herts BDA Branch in 2017.
Lalit has also taken an active role in the education of new dental graduates at the Leys Road Dental Practice having been a vocational trainer in the recent past.
Rahul was awarded his BDS from the University of Sheffield in 2005. Following qualification he completed a year of general practice in St Albans during which time he gained the appetite for further postgraduate training.
From 2006 to 2009 he gained a wealth of experience within the various disciplines of oral surgery, restorative dentistry and paediatric dentistry. These included prestigious Senior House Officer posts at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, the Birmingham Dental Hospital and at the Birmingham Children's Hospital. In 2009 he was awarded the MJDF from the Royal College of Surgeons England.
Following these various placements he was awarded a place on one of the few GDC recognised Orthodontic Specialist training programs within the United Kingdom.
He completed his three year specialty training in April 2013 having passed and completed the MOrth examination at the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh and an MPhil research degree at the University of Birmingham.
Rahul is an active member of the British Orthodontic Society.
He also has been involved in an academic capacity having been an Honorary Clinical Lecturer at the University of Birmingham Dental School between 2009-2013.
Rahul loves his job and is constantly striving to learn new things and stay abreast of advances in his chosen specialty. He has attended both the 3M Incognito and WIN course and is a certified user of both these lingual orthodontic appliances. He is also proficient in the use of the Invisalign system.
In his spare time Rahul enjoys travelling and photography. He recently travelled around South America for three months and fulfilled his dream of visiting the Galapagos Islands.
Rahul feels that it is never too late to consider orthodontics and welcomes any patient young or old that would like to explore the possibility of improving their smile.
